| I hate Dashboard Confessional. I hate all of these punkpop bands that people call "emo" these days. I think they're just spoiled crybabies who are trying to get laid by acting sad.
Go back in time to 1994. There was a little band called Weezer. They made an album, and it was good. Two years later, they made another album. An album like nothing before it. An album where frontman Rivers Cuomo opened up his heart and showed it to the world. Many people didn't know how to take it. It made them uncomfortable to hear Rivers singing about being tired of having sex, or fantasizing about an 18-year-old girl from Japan. Many were looking for the next "Buddy Holly" or "Sweater Song". But those who really listened to the album and gave it a chance were given an amazing album. An album that many try to recreate, but none can. Forget Saves the Day. Forget Taking Back Sunday. Forget all of that shit. Go to the record store and buy Pinkerton. Now. Reviewer Rating of CD : ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | |
